Position Title: Bartender

Department: Food & Beverage
Reports To: Director of F&B Operations
FLSA Status: Part-Time Hourly, Non-Exempt

Overview
  • ASM Global, a premier entity in the management of public assembly venues, is currently seeking a Bartender for the Boeing Center at Tech Port. The Bartender plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service during events, ensuring customer satisfaction and precise transaction accounting, including inventory management, in line with ASM Global's Universal Service Standards and relevant Operational Standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage individual beverage stations.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Adhere to all applicable liquor regulations.
  • Monitor and manage liquor inventory effectively.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the work area.
  • Follow safety protocols within the work environment.
  • Deliver friendly and efficient service to patrons.
  • Report to F&B personnel in the designated uniform for the assigned area.
  • Prepare all beverage offerings for sale at the station.
  • Process sales transactions according to ASM Global pricing.
  • Receive and manage cash and/or tickets.
  • Conduct accurate cash and inventory reconciliations with a supervisor.
  • Ensure cash register settings align with ASM Global's approved pricing.
  • Comply with all operational rules and regulations pertaining to beverage services and ASM Global's Food and Beverage Division.
  • Request identification from every guest purchasing alcoholic beverages.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • TABC certification is required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in addition to standard business hours.
Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of cash register operations and cash handling is necessary.
  • Mathematical skills to accurately manage and count cash are required.
  • Familiarity with bar operations is beneficial.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to follow directions and perform tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in English to communicate with customers, supervisors, and team members, as well as to understand policies and procedures.
  • Capability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude.
  • Strong understanding of sanitary practices.
  • Adhere to grooming and dress code standards.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic with urgency and quality in a team setting.
  • Collaborate effectively with other staff members.
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
Physical Requirements
  • This role requires frequent movement throughout the facility, standing for long durations during events, and effective communication. Work may occur indoors or outdoors based on event needs. The position involves lifting and bending, with the ability to lift 50 lbs. to waist height.
