Millwright Mechanical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Millwright Mechanical Journeyman to join our team at TIC - The Industrial Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, laying out, installing, and aligning equipment and machinery in accordance with all plans, specifications, tolerances, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and diagram layouts for millwright's work, ensuring accuracy and precision.
- Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, assemble, and align machinery, and install all other required items.
- Review and verify inventory of equipment/machine components, check accuracy of line and grade of existing foundation, and prepare foundation for grouting and/or machinery placement.
- Establish and use centerlines and bench marks, set and align machine components, mix and place all types of grout, and properly torque equipment and machinery.
- Properly rig equipment and machinery, direct crane operators on placement, test installed machinery and equipment, and make necessary adjustments and/or repairs.
- Assemble and install equipment, align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, micrometers, and plumb bobs, and assemble machines and attach them to foundations or other structures according to project specifications.
- Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities, or determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
- Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies, and explain and take any corrective action needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or a related area.
- Strong working knowledge skills and abilities for the position.
- Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions, and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
- Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools, and layout tools, as well as measurement tools.
- Constantly move about a construction/industrial site, work irregular hours, weekends, overtime, and holidays as required, and be exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions.
- Ability to climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds, move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces, and complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment.
- Ability to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across the construction/industrial site, observe and comply with all safety and project rules, and perform other duties as required.
- At least three years of industrial construction experience at or above journeyman level.
- Possess both the knowledge and tools to perform layout, precision alignments, leveling of both rotating and static equipment, and bolt up of various fixtures.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl, and work in a construction environment.
