**Position Overview**
This role requires a unique blend of strategic business experience and acumen with the ability to interact with clients and CLUTCH teammates who work in the building materials and construction sectors. Specific experience in concrete masonry is a plus. Catalyst team members bring a unique category-specific, business perspective that complements the marketing side of our business, leveraging an acute understanding of clients' organization and business needs and objectives, as well as their sales, product, marketing and distribution channels. This approach enables and activates CLUTCH's business model and differentiates the results we deliver by driving impactful strategy and activation, that incorporates a blend of creativity and business acumen with everything we do to deliver growth for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take a consultative approach to learning, understanding, and supporting both internal CLUTCH and external client business objectives, industry stakeholders and strategic drivers.
- Bring the perspective of the client and the client's end-user customers and partners to our internal CLUTCH teams and the work we do.
- Identify insights, relationship-building, and strategy and business development opportunities that arise during the normal course of engagement with the client.
- Provide clients with the "CLUTCH experience" and work with Client Success, program managers, and other CLUTCH teammates to ensure consistent work planning and execution. Understand the CLUTCH business model and deliver results for both clients and CLUTCH.
Strategic Thinking:
- Provide strategic construction and building materials market insights and drivers, to help inform strategic solutions, work product and increase relevance.
- Contribute to strategy concepting, development, and integration for client planning and proposal development and engagement to elevate and integrate industry trends and client-facing business drivers.
- Bring experience and skill in building tangible B2B and B2C Go-to-Market plans from strategic objectives.
Research & Marketing Trends:
- Support the SVP, Catalyst and Comprehension with researching, developing, and presenting strategic plans and concepts to bolster Go-to-Market client engagements.
- Conduct insight interviews, market/industry research and business analysis as needed.
- Stay abreast of industry and client-related business trends and management trends and developments.
Business Development:
- Lead category new business initiatives and business development.
- Collect, review, summarize, and share strategic trends and drivers surrounding the building materials industry, including stakeholders who impact and enable success for existing and prospective CLUTCH clients.
- Identify new business growth opportunities and clients for CLUTCH; and build and extend both project team and senior management client relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Jointly manage client relationships and project workflows with client success, requiring management of a full spectrum of external and internal relationships that range from senior executives/managers to project-focused individual contributors.
- Work as a partner with client success, program management, and other CLUTCH discipline department heads and colleagues (example: creative, PR, media, digital, etc.).
- Help develop and facilitate annual planning with clients and department leads, review progress, and pivot execution plans on a quarterly basis as needed.
Requirements:

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related area of study.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in building materials/construction industry.
- Experience managing customer relationships, managing and working with cross-functional teams, and developing product, sales and marketing strategy.
