Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Health Psychologist to join our team at UW Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with patients undergoing organ transplant and provide clinical services to patients receiving inpatient medical care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre-transplant evaluations and provide individual health and behavior interventions to patients throughout their transplant journey.
  • Deliver health and behavior interventions to patients receiving inpatient medical care as part of a consultation-liaison service.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based best practice in health psychology.
  • Consultation is provided to patients on services across the hospital, including Hematology/Oncology, Trauma Surgery, Cardiothoracic units, Neurosurgery, Neurology, transplant services, and Vascular Surgery, among others.
  • Potentially participate in supervision of Health Psychology trainees and contribute to program development.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or related field.
  • 1 year of post-doc experience in the area of Behavioral Health in a medical setting.
  • Licensure or eligible for licensure as a Psychologist in state of practice.
