Job Title: RN/Assistant Director of Clinical ServicesJob Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN/Assistant Director of Clinical Services to join our team at Brookdale Galleria. As a key member of our Clinical Services department, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the day-to-day operations of our clinical services team.

Responsibilities
  1. Assess the comprehensive nursing needs of each resident using acceptable long-term care assessment software tools and according to state and federal time frames.
  2. Coordinate care plans for each resident and oversee the day-to-day care of each resident to ensure care plans are followed.
  3. Work with other team members to establish appropriate level of care in accordance with Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement levels.
  4. Assist in ensuring comprehensive and accurate documentation by nursing service/direct personnel.
  5. Monitor, manage, and provide education on Clinical Systems, programs, and processes as assigned by the Director, Clinical Services.
  6. Implement Clinical Systems and programs in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern long-term care.
  7. Monitor the community Quality Indicators and survey reports and provide the Director, Clinical Services recommendations for Success Planning.
  8. Assist in developing and implementing a Clinical Services organizational structure and determining staffing needs.
  9. Recruit, select, and orient nursing/direct care personnel and lead programs for staff development.
  10. Review complaints and grievances filed by personnel and/or residents and report and investigate all allegations of abuse and/or misappropriation of resident property.
  11. Assist with the coordination of ancillary services and collect, coordinate, and submit MDS data to the state.
  12. Monitor medication and treatment schedules and work with attending physicians and provide direct care when required.
  13. Participate in maintaining the policy and procedures that govern the day-to-day operations of the Clinical Services Department and ensure staff compliance with regulations.
  14. Participate in developing and implementing safety standards and regulations for equipment, supplies, and resident care rooms.
  15. Monitor supply and equipment needs and budget and monitor Medicare/Medicaid reimbursements.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two to four years of related experience and/or training. Long-term care experience is preferred. Must have a valid and current state (RN) license, issued by the appropriate state licensing agency.

As a key member of our team, you will possess extensive knowledge of a distinct skill or function and a thorough understanding of the organization and work environment. You will have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the company.
