We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented RN Student Nurse Extern PRN Medical Surgical Unit to join our team at Retreat Doctors' Hospital. As a Nurse Extern, you will have the opportunity to work under the supervision of our experienced Registered Nurses, assisting with patient care and developing your clinical skills in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with patient mobility, including turning, positioning, and ambulating patients
  • Obtain and record patient information, including initial and ongoing assessments
  • Translate complex medical terminology to ensure patients and families understand their medical condition, treatment plan, and medications
  • Work closely with the clinical team to create and implement a care plan, performing direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the licensed nurse
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of nursing
  • Ability to perform higher-level procedures once competency is achieved
  • One year of completed nursing school preferred
