Job Summary

Covenant Living Communities is seeking a qualified Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our team in a per diem capacity. As a LPN/LVN, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our residents in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care settings.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the orientation of new LPN/LVNs and nursing assistants and reinforce training standards to maintain a high quality of care.
  • Provide explanation of nursing procedures and assistance to staff to assure ongoing understanding and training.
  • Communicate on a regular basis with the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing regarding observations, and suggestions of problem areas, resident and employee activities, concerns, needs, conditions, etc.
  • Observe and evaluate residents' health, mental and emotional conditions and communicate significant changes to appropriate staff.
  • Provide direct patient care as appropriate including, but not limited to, procedures such as catheter placement and care, colostomy care, suction, dressings, naso-gastric tubes and other treatments.
  • Participate in report at the beginning and end of shifts to assure proper information about residents is communicated.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of licensed practical/vocational nursing.
  • Current license, in good standing, as an LPN/LVN in the State.
  • One year nursing experience.
  • Devotion to standards and principles of professional nursing.
