Aventure Staffing is seeking a skilled Diesel Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join their team in Sheldon, Iowa.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience performing vehicle maintenance and possess a valid Driver's License with a Class A CDL. Strong written and verbal communication skills are also essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components.
  • Perform safety inspections, including annual DOT inspections of equipment and safety documentation.
  • Interact with leadership, drivers, vendors, and service providers through email and phone as necessary.
  • Prepare vehicle records and reports, both manually and on a computer.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience performing vehicle maintenance or possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school.
  • 1+ year experience on trailer and air brake repair.
  • Valid Driver's License with a Class A CDL.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly.
  • Must provide own hand tools and toolbox.
