Position Overview

The primary responsibility of this role is to collaborate with assigned Producers to identify and engage new high-quality clients while nurturing and maintaining relationships with both new and existing clients.

This position involves the strategic organization and implementation of client marketing, risk management, and sales initiatives, adhering to established industry standards and company protocols.

It is essential to meet all performance metrics by applying best practices to mitigate potential errors and omissions claims.

The role is chiefly accountable for managing a renewal portfolio, facilitating new business placements for Producers, and enhancing account retention rates.

Applicants should be adept at resolving intricate customer risk management challenges and employing analytical skills to determine the most suitable products and solutions for clients, while also considering the implications for carrier partners and safeguarding the interests of the organization.

Additionally, this position entails significant account growth and cross-selling opportunities.

Actively pursue the expansion and retention of business, identifying and acting on sales prospects, and serving as a knowledgeable resource for Producers regarding the insurance brokerage sector.

At the discretion of the Producers, attendance at sales and service meetings may be required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a high level of technical knowledge and market expertise.
  • Drive Sales and Client Relationship Development.
  • Accompany Producers on new business and prospect meetings.
  • Exercise independent judgment in rate and premium negotiations, gathering client information, current policies, and relevant corporate documents to assess client needs and engage in suitable market identification based on data analysis.
  • Effectively manage client relationships as an extension of the Producer, including conducting individual client meetings, preparing and presenting periodic Account Summaries, recommending coverage options and policy adjustments, and negotiating/closing new business and renewals.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), addressing inquiries and developing solutions to client challenges.
  • Oversee policy expirations for current clients and proactively ensure timely actions are taken to facilitate renewals through regular meetings with Account Managers to anticipate marketing and servicing needs.
  • Manage the new business and policy renewal process independently or in collaboration with Producers, including conducting Loss Run Analysis, preparing accurate submissions, evaluating and negotiating coverage and pricing, and preparing and presenting proposals.
  • Monitor accounts receivable reports and take necessary actions on overdue accounts, including collecting outstanding balances.
  • Ensure all communications and relevant documents are clearly presented, accurately documented, and properly filed in the agency management system in accordance with company standards.
  • Deliver exceptional service consistently, anticipating client needs, maintaining regular and professional communication, and responding promptly.
  • Embody and promote the core values of the organization, demonstrating integrity, character, and a commitment to servant leadership.
  • Respond to daily requests from Producers.
  • Assist Producers in executing client action plans and ensuring client needs are met while safeguarding the firm against errors and omissions.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and monitoring of client feedback.
  • Collaborate with Producers to determine marketing strategies for new and renewal clients, managing timelines and deliverables to meet client expectations.
  • Prepare submissions for carriers, communicating necessary client information, reviewing received quotations for accuracy, and addressing any discrepancies with carriers.
  • Evaluate quotes from carriers and prepare proposals for client consideration.
  • Finalize proposals and bind coverage with carriers based on client instructions, ensuring compliance with confirmation of coverage through binders or other written verification.
  • Support Producers in implementing marketing strategies and developing relationships with carriers.
  • Stay informed about various carriers, their policy offerings, strengths, weaknesses, and consulting services.
  • Facilitate a smooth transition for new business clients or renewal plans to the account manager.
  • Assist in resolving client or carrier accounting issues, including collections, discrepancies, and billing arrangements.
  • Communicate significant issues regarding service team performance or client complaints to the Branch Operations Manager.
  • In the absence of an Account Executive or Senior Account Manager, act as a project manager for specific service team tasks and renewals as directed by the Producer.
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned by the Producer or Branch Operations Manager.
Qualifications:

A minimum of an insurance license or state-required certification is necessary.

Preferred candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in commercial lines insurance with a proven track record of managing books of business.

A college degree is desirable; however, a high school diploma (or equivalent) is required.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are essential.

Exceptional customer service skills are a must.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are required.

Capability to handle large volumes of work with a high degree of accuracy.

Proficiency in PC applications, including basic knowledge of MS Office.

Demonstrated personal integrity and character.
