Key Responsibilities:
The Cyber Applications Subject Matter Expert (SME) will play a pivotal role in supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) under the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.

  • Develop, implement, and deliver high-quality cybersecurity solutions.
  • Utilize advanced technical agile methodologies in the creation of cyber solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients to provide expert technical consultation and support.
  • Operate with some guidance from a Solution Architect and/or Delivery Leader, while also demonstrating the ability to work independently on complex tasks.
  • Manage systems administration for cyber toolsets and server systems across various classification domains.
  • Provide operational support for systems, ensuring effective monitoring and problem resolution for all client, server, storage, and network devices.
  • Assist in Windows and Linux systems engineering, including design, evaluation, and administration.
  • Engage with end users and technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve intricate issues.
  • Maintain open and professional communication with clients, colleagues, and team members.
  • Proactively seek ways to enhance productivity and utilize non-client time for personal development and internal projects.
  • Participate in project teams with both clients and team members.
  • Commit to making a positive impact on client engagements.
  • Mentor junior System Engineers throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications:
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage collaboratively with diverse audiences.

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity technologies, including Tanium, Trellix, Arcsight, Splunk, and network security tools.
  • Familiarity with DoD Risk Management Framework and Software Assurance requirements.

Job Requirements: This position is available at multiple levels based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Candidates must possess one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) with 16 years of general experience; Associate's degree with 14 years of general experience; Bachelor's degree with 12 years of general experience; Master's degree with 10 years of general experience.


  • Minimum of 9 years of experience as a systems administrator.
  • At least 3 years of experience in management or leadership roles.
  • Experience with security tools and applications, including Trellix, FireEye, and Palo Alto Firewalls.
  • Familiarity with automating deployments and configuration management of cybersecurity tools.
  • Experience with cloud services, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to undergo a polygraph examination.
  • DoD M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification.
  • DoD M Cyber Security Service Provider - Infrastructure Support Certification.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience as a network administrator or systems engineer.
  • Knowledge of various cybersecurity tools and scripting languages.
  • Experience with Active Directory and system/network diagram creation.
  • Familiarity with Git and Atlassian tools.
