Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Manage reservations and seating for daily and nightly service, ensuring that guests are seated in a timely and efficient manner.
- Act as an advocate for the restaurant, developing relationships with guests and creating memorable experiences that will encourage them to return.
- Accurately handle paperwork, stock, and tidy the host stand, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Receive incoming calls, book reservations, and take room service orders as needed.
- Check floor and tables for accuracy and cleanliness, assisting in bussing tables and ensuring that the dining area is well-maintained.
- Help servers by refilling beverages and performing other restaurant and customer service-related requests for guests.
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Able to learn, retain, and present product, menu, and allergy information to guests.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn the restaurant point-of-sale system and reservation system.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, a real passion for hospitality, and a love for crafting unique and memorable experiences for guests.
- Food Handler Certification (if applicable).
- Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays when needed.
