Collision Refinish Technician

We are seeking a skilled Collision Refinish Technician to join our team at Maaco Collision Repair and Auto Paint. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality refinishing to collision damaged components and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities- Mixes and applies refinish materials to achieve accurate color matches and high-quality finishes.
- Operates various equipment and tools to prepare and paint vehicle components and assemblies.
- Ensures work area is clean and organized, and maintains equipment in good working condition.
- Assists other technicians as needed and follows standard operating procedures and hazardous waste disposal guidelines.
- Develops and refines standard operating procedures as required and maintains acceptable appearance and adheres to attendance policies.
- Performs quality control checks on every vehicle to ensure repairs are completed correctly and the vehicle is properly prepped prior to painting.
- Attends shop meetings and verifies that all parts required for the vehicle are painted in one paint booth cycle.
- Ensures all products are ordered and properly stocked prior to running out and performs quality control on all vehicles prior to painting and after painting has been completed.
- Three to five years of prior work experience preferred.
- Knowledgeable of refinish products and their use and application.
- Skilled in using an automotive refinish mixing system scale and software.
- Skilled in tinting automotive refinish materials to obtain color match.
- Skilled in applying automotive refinish materials, stripes, and graphics to vehicles.
- Basic computer skills for paint computer.
The working conditions for this position include working both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials. May be requested to work overtime and weekends.
