  • Leadership and Management: Direct the Office of the General Counsel, supervising a team of attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Provide strategic counsel to the CEO, senior management, and the CHA Board of Commissioners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across the organization.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry developments, ensuring the organization's legal team remains current and effective.
Requirements
  • Education: Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Experience: A minimum of 15 years of legal experience, with a strong background in real estate law and a proven track record of success in a senior leadership role.
  • Skills: Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide strategic counsel and lead a team of attorneys and staff.
  • Certifications: Admission to the Illinois Bar, or admission to the bar of another state with reciprocity with the Illinois Bar.
