Pilot Rotor Wing Aviation Specialist

**Job Summary**
As a Pilot Rotor Wing Aviation Specialist at Air Methods, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of medical crew and patients to receiving hospitals within an assigned operational area. This role requires a high level of expertise in aviation operations, Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), and Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM) guidelines.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Operate Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner.
- Complete pre-flight checks to verify the aircraft's airworthiness.
- Ensure compliance with FAR, AIM, and Air Methods policies and procedures.
- Participate in regular meetings, activities, and projects to maintain a high level of professionalism and teamwork.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
**Requirements:**
- Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, and two to five years of related experience and/or training.
- Commercial & Instrument Rating for category and class of aircraft.
- First OR Second Class FAA Medical certificate required.
- Ability to conduct detailed flight planning with little notice to exacting standards.
- Regular scheduled attendance and adherence to Air Methods employment practices and policies.
