Position Summary

The Receiving Coordinator plays a vital role in overseeing the accurate receipt of goods and materials from vendors and suppliers within the warehouse. Responsibilities include managing initial inventory counts, documenting shipments, operating warehouse equipment, and inputting data into the warehouse management system. The Coordinator is also tasked with addressing inventory discrepancies and resolving vendor-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and verify incoming shipments against invoices, packing lists, and purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and enforce quality control for all incoming products.
  • Document receiving processes and maintain comprehensive inventory records.
  • Report any shipping damages or quality issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with customers and the receiving team to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Operate powered industrial vehicles (PIV) such as forklifts and turrets.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Organize and label shipments and products in designated areas.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the warehouse receiving area.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in logistics or warehouse receiving preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety practices.
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and warehouse management software.
  • Capability to operate PIV equipment safely.
