The estimated salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description
We are seeking an Electromechanical Systems Design Engineer to join our team of qualified professionals within our Vehicle Engineering Organization. As a key member of our team, you will design and develop wiring harness/cable assembly installations into air vehicles for multiple aerospace programs using SAE AS 50881 and proven commercial practices as a guide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop wiring harness/cable assembly installations into air vehicles
  • Collaborate with inter-departmental vehicle sub-system departments
  • Work independently under general supervision and as part of a large multi-disciplined team

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:

Education:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline (or higher) AND 5 years of engineering experience (or higher)

Clearance:
  • Active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

Technical Skills:
  • Experience with wire harness design and routing principles such as EMI separation, military connectors and backshells, shielding and overbraid, splicing, minimum bend radius, chafe protection, electrical bonding, and grounding
  • Experience in a 3D design tool such as NX, Catia V5, or ProE
