About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to join our team at Sun Nuclear Corp. This role offers a unique blend of technical expertise and leadership responsibilities, making it an exciting opportunity for professionals who enjoy both design and management challenges.

The Electrical Engineering Manager will lead our electrical engineering group, overseeing the technical work of engineers and ensuring timely completion of projects. Key areas of responsibility include implementing and communicating design controls processes, staying up-to-date with regulatory requirements, and conducting thorough technical reviews of designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage the technical work of the Electrical Engineering group, ensuring efficient project completion in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Implement and communicate the Sun Nuclear design controls process to ensure compliance and effective quality management.
  • Stay current with regulatory requirements for medical device development and ensure compliance across the team.
  • Evaluate concepts and technologies for new products, proposing alternative system requirements as needed.
  • Design electrical circuits comprising analog, digital, communication, and power supplies.
  • Foster close collaboration with mechanical engineering and physics departments to achieve exceptional cross-functional outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, focusing on embedded electromechanical systems.
  • At least 3 years of experience in engineering management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical decisions across the engineering function and business.
  • Strong technical acumen in multiple areas, including product specification, low-noise analog circuit design, microcontroller-based digital design, firmware design using C and VHDL, and encoded stepper and DC motor control design.
