We are seeking a part-time Adaptive Aquatics Instructor to join our team at JCC Greater Boston. As an Adaptive Swim Instructor, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and adults with disabilities by teaching them essential water safety skills and promoting a love for swimming.
Responsibilities:- Create a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters confidence and promotes swimmer proficiency.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the unique needs of each swimmer, using the Swim Angelfish methodology.
- Provide ongoing communication with the supervisor regarding class progress and programming.
- Maintain accurate records of class attendance and swimmer progress.
- Manage equipment used for sessions and ensure a clean and organized learning environment.
- Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 16 years of age or older.
- Prior experience working with children and adults with disabilities.
- Intermediate swimming skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
