Job Summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Avionics Technician to join our team in GAC Westfield. As a key member of our avionics team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance in the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and electronic systems on our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical expertise and guidance in the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and electronic systems on our aircraft.
  2. Develop and implement process changes to reduce cost and meet schedule without compromising Safety or Quality.
  3. Train and mentor junior technicians to ensure a skilled and safety-conscious workforce.
  4. Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations, troubleshoot and teach troubleshooting processes to provide timely and quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.
  5. Oversee the performance and compliance with engineering changes and modifications as required.
  6. Set up and operate necessary test equipment, conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.
  7. Enforce company safety regulations, FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and adapt to sudden schedule changes.
Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. 6 years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field, or 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and 4 years of related experience.
  3. A & P license, FCC license, or NCATT certification preferred.
  4. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  5. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Additional Information

This is a full-time position with up to 25% travel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in avionics and electrical systems, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
