Building Sciences Practice Team Lead

Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Building Sciences Practice Team Manager to join our team in West Springfield, MA. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing mold, asbestos, lead, indoor air quality, and other building science-related projects in various settings.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and oversee building science-related projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Operate and maintain testing equipment and instruments, including air-sampling pumps, real-time air monitoring equipment, moisture meters, IR cameras, and calibrators.
- Provide leadership, training, and support to junior staff, subcontractors, and other team members.
- Interact and communicate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agency representatives in a professional manner.
- Prepare budgets, technical proposals, and reports, ensuring quality assurance and quality control.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget constraints.
- Bachelor's Degree in a science-related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10-15 years of experience in building sciences, with a focus on asbestos, mold, and lead-related projects.
- Valid Driver's License, ability to pass a Driver Background Check, and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a Background Check for work with state and local governments and defense contractor clients.
- Excellent written, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven effective management skills.
