Job Title:
Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

  • Perform daily A/P functions including receiving bills, confirming accuracy, payables entry, and payment.
  • Handle full cycle accounts payable, which involves taking an invoice, entering it into the system, processing the payment, cutting the check, and maintaining the vendor record.
  • Process manual paper invoices per day efficiently, with some invoices taking as little as a minute to process.
  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
  • Execute 3-way matching (Vendor Invoice, P.O., Receipt or Receiving Documents) to ensure all information is correct before processing payment. Previous experience with 3-way matching is required.
  • Respond to all vendor inquiries, typically through email, and occasionally by phone.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and research and correct discrepancies.
  • Handle invoices that typically have 1-20 line items.
  • Ensure all inventory invoices are completed and organized before the month-end close for review.

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of invoice processing experience (high volume, complex line items)
  • Leadership or management experience preferred
  • 3-way matching, reconciliation, and discrepancy experience
