Job Title: Automotive Parts Sales Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Automotive Parts Sales Specialist to join our team at Herb Chambers Honda of Westborough. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling automotive parts by taking and clarifying customer orders; retrieving and selling new and replacement automotive parts; receiving and recording new parts inventory; maintaining parts databases; and maintaining a safe and secure environment.

About the Role:
  • Sell automotive parts by taking and clarifying customer orders
  • Retrieve and sell new and replacement automotive parts
  • Receive and record new parts inventory
  • Maintain parts databases
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment
Responsibilities:
  1. Answer phones and respond to customer inquiries
  2. Produce parts for service technicians in a timely manner
  3. Deliver parts to customers or other departments within the dealership
  4. Take customer orders by listening to and clarifying requests; identifying automotive parts; offering and explaining alternative solutions
  5. Complete sales by entering purchased items into the sales/inventory system; obtaining payment; adding purchase to credit account; issuing sales receipts
  6. Maintain parts inventory by verifying supplies; placing orders when order-points are reached
  7. Stock items by unpacking, arranging, and placing items in bins and on shelves; adjusting inventory system
  8. Receive returned items by inspecting items; returning payment; issuing credit; re-packing and re-shelving items; returning damaged items to supplier
  9. Maintain a safe and secure environment by following safety and security standards and procedures; complying with codes
  10. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading about new products
  11. Achieve organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
