Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Dredge Equipment Technician to join our team at Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS).

Annual Salary: $90,000 - $120,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for traveling to dredge locations to work on electrical systems, ensuring they are functioning correctly and efficiently.

Main Tasks:

  • Travel to various locations to work on electrical systems, including switchboards, generators, and automation systems.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks and calibrate equipment according to manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Collaborate with production engineers to optimize instrument data transfer and collection.
  • Implement new electrical systems and controls, including power wiring and network infrastructure.
  • Provide training and support to crew members on electrical safety, maintenance, and operation.
  • Perform on-call duties during non-work hours when necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to safe working practices and company policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills and electrical certification.
  • Relevant education or training, such as technical school or military certifications.
  • Experience in the marine industry is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including electronics and automation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
