Job Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary advisory lead for strategizing and negotiating transition requirements for Space RCO programs.
  • Rapidly develop and deploy new, highly classified space capabilities, establishing operational and tactical applications while conducting research to meet emerging space-centric demands.
  • Oversee management and execution across the entire program portfolio, ensuring proper coordination and application of lessons learned for swift deployment.
  • Provide comprehensive analysis, evaluation, and recommendations for enhancements, optimization, and maintenance efforts addressing mission-critical challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to verify and monitor program requirements, including the production and tracking of all necessary agreements and documentation.
  • Engage with external agencies, including operational units and other acquisition activities, to support and advise on design challenges, operational delivery, and integration.
  • Assist in acquisition planning and the development of technical requirements.
  • Evaluate the technical adequacy, cost, quality, and timely delivery of program outputs.
  • Draft, review, and refine final program reports, documents, and presentations.
  • Initiate and supervise requirements development from project inception to completion for complex programs.
  • Contribute to the development of a Monthly Status Report detailing support efforts, including updates on status, performance, major activities, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Translate complex results into clear, actionable recommendations or distinct courses of action.
  • Communicate effectively and accurately, both orally and in writing.
  • Provide strategic counsel, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project personnel.
Qualifications
  • Clearance: TS/SCI with SAP Eligibility, with a willingness to undergo a CI Polygraph.
  • Education: Master's degree in a relevant field from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years of hands-on experience in DoD/IC or relevant industry, specifically with commercial and/or government satellite systems, including at least two (2) years in a SAP and/or SCI environment within the last five years.
Key Skills and Abilities
  • In-depth understanding of the space operational environment and corresponding mission user requirements.
  • Experience in spacecraft system engineering, development, manufacturing, integration, and testing.
  • Proficiency in developing satellite testing and requirements verification plans.
  • Experience with satellite structural, mechanical, thermal, dynamics, propulsion, and mass properties.
  • Ability to analyze and develop contract data requirements lists and deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fifteen (15) years of hands-on experience in DoD/IC or relevant industry with commercial and/or government satellite systems.
  • Experience leading satellite assembly, integration, and testing for large-scale space systems.
  • Prior experience as Chief Engineer for a significant national security space program.
  • Experience with rapid build and qualification testing at both system and component levels.
  • Familiarity with integrated air, space, and cyberspace capabilities.
  • Experience as a SETA in a government program office.
  • Experience with ACAT I/II level acquisition programs.
