First Internet Bank is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our Credit Administration team. As a Finance Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Appraisal Review team to gain a comprehensive understanding of the commercial appraisal process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of commercial appraisal reports, including scope, market data, site and improvement descriptions, and approaches to value.
  • Collaborate with the Appraisal Review team to gain insight into the commercial appraisal process, including appraisal bidding, engagement, review, tracking, data management, and independence.
  • Interact with multiple lines of business, including commercial real estate, single-tenant lease, acquisition development and construction, commercial and industrial, and small business administration.
  • Gain exposure to other Credit Administration functions of the Bank.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Current sophomore or junior with a demonstrated interest in commercial real estate.
  • Ongoing pursuit of a college degree, preferably in business, finance, commercial real estate, or a related field.
  • Efficient with Excel, Word, and spreadsheets.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Multi-tasking skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions
  • Professional office setting.
  • Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer.
  • Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
