Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Barista Assistant to join our team at Martha's Market. As a Barista Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing beverages and food items, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve beverages and food items to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Stock shelves, counters, and display fixtures with merchandise to maximize product visibility and promote sales.
  • Greet guests immediately upon entering the store and offer to assist them with any purchase.
  • Prepare food and/or drink in a timely manner and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Accurately record sales and other transactions, accept payment, and make change as necessary.
  • Provide suggestions, information, and similar assistance to customers as requested.
  • Maintain substantial knowledge of the various offerings in the store.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have valid Servsafe food handler's certification, or be able to obtain prior to starting work.
  • Flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, mornings, and holidays.
  • Standing majority of the shift.
  • Able to lift, push, and pull 30lbs.
  • Prior barista experience is a plus, but not required.
