About the Role

Atrium Health Charlotte is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing patient care in the operating room while maintaining a safe and sterile environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing patients for surgery, including obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments.
  • Participate in the assembly of supplies, instruments, and equipment, ensuring proper disposition of all specimens.
  • Monitor and maintain aseptic technique and its application throughout the surgical procedure.
  • Collaborate with the Registered Nurse circulator to ensure seamless patient care and efficient room turnover.
  • Document and monitor sterilization activities for completion.
  • Participate in educational opportunities to increase competency and meet personal needs and goals.
  • Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Serve as a preceptor and clinical resource to others.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or successful completion of military training program for Surgical Technology or Operating Room Specialist.
  • Current certification preferred.
What We Offer
  • Competitive hourly rate of $50/hour.
  • 36 hours of work per week.
  • 13-week or 26-week assignments.
