Job Description

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Pipeline Engineer to join our team supporting the Air Force Weather Data Analysis and Dissemination Program.

You will be a member of a product team where you will help design, write, and deliver software that creates our CI/CD infrastructure including developing pipelines, test automation, and deployment software. This role requires strong knowledge of AWS services and their application to deployment and management of infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and enhance CI/CD pipelines
  • Test case development and automation
  • General tool development to assist other SW Engineers
  • Optimize current processes and testing approaches
  • Debug and fix pipeline failures run across different environments
  • Optimize and develop code deployment strategy
  • Collaborate with other product teams and staff to assist with technical analysis and problem resolution on system issues

Requirements:

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services and their application to deployment and management of infrastructure
  • Ability to develop in multiple programming languages such as Bash, Python, or Go
  • Familiarity with Git and other development tools such as deployment pipelines
