Job Summary

Politico is seeking an Advertising Operations Associate to join our Media Business team. As an Advertising Operations Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful activation and fulfillment of advertising campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory and traffic ad campaigns across various platforms, including Display/Video, Newsletters, Audio, Print, and Branded/Editorial Content.
  • Quality assurance of advertising assets and troubleshooting technical and performance issues.
  • Launch, monitor, and optimize digital campaigns using Google Ad Manager and other ad servers.
  • Provide support for issues related to creative specs, click-through URLs, third-party tracking, internally-built executions, pacing issues, and reporting discrepancies.
  • Analyze performance of advertising campaigns and products.
  • Contribute to product performance benchmarks and insights using multiple data sources and visualization tools.
  • Liaise with the Print department to ensure placement of print advertising.
  • Work closely with the Revenue Operations team to finalize monthly billing and address inquiries related to both monthly and ongoing invoicing.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and dependable when working on a team.
  • Experience analyzing data to extract meaningful, actionable insights.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with web languages (HTML, Javascript, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Ad Industry and best practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a focus on critical thinking.
  • B.A./B.S. required.
