Corporate Counsel, Ad Tech Specialist

We are seeking an experienced product and advertising/marketing lawyer to join the Amazon Legal team supporting the Amazon Ads strategic business development team.
Amazon Ads delivers advertising solutions for selling partners, brands, and publishers spanning product advertising, display, video, and audio across Amazon properties (e.g., IMDb TV, Twitch, Fire TV, and Amazon Music) and tens of thousands of third-party websites and apps.
As a rising-star Corporate Counsel, you will be responsible for counseling the Ads strategic business development team on transactions and integrations with partners spanning all of the spaces Amazon Ads operates.
You will negotiate with strategic partners, handle legal issues in business-centric ways and develop processes that address risk while allowing the business flexibility and freedom to quickly develop services that prioritize and delight our customers.
This position requires great judgment, backbone, and common sense, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. We are looking for candidates who are innovative, extremely hands-on, and customer-obsessed.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Experience advising on marketing, advertising, or privacy legal issues
- Experience working with advertising agencies or advertising technology
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.
The base pay for this position ranges from $138,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market.
Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
