Key Responsibilities
  • Support community initiatives with technical skills and strong organizational abilities
  • Collaborate with developers to smooth processes and integrate community plans with Canonical plans for maximum impact
  • Encourage and facilitate the creation of new technical projects that enhance the community contribution experience
  • Represent community interests to Canonical teams
  • Provide technical support to ensure the community stays engaged and informed
  • Communicate effectively with developers and software engineers, representing the Ubuntu community and Canonical in the wider Linux ecosystem
Requirements
  • Technical proficiency in Linux and open source software
  • Experience with developer tools and open source projects
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and assume full ownership of objectives
  • Flexibility with time and willingness to learn new technology in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with open source communities and understanding the workflow of volunteer contributors
