Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Forbes Hospital. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting and processing patient specimens in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and process patient specimens using standard techniques for venipunctures, heel sticks, and finger sticks.
- Provide instruction and/or assistance with the collection of non-blood specimens.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the work area and ensure adequate supplies for efficient laboratory operations.
- Perform laboratory support duties, such as order entry, registration, and specimen receiving, to ensure efficient operations.
- Mentor students in phlebotomy utilizing AHN policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Phlebotomy training.
- Six months' phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license may be required depending on work location.
