About the Role

Performance Contracting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Office Administrator to join our New England 586 operations based in Holliston, MA. This individual will provide administrative support duties for our office, including processing weekly union payroll, assisting with new hire orientation, and maintaining electronic document management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly union payroll and assist with new hire orientation
  • Responsible for onboarding new union craft workers and tracking certifications and pre-employment requirements
  • Assist in contract management, including contracts, insurance, billing, and electronic document management
  • Maintain purchase order log, catalog packing slips, and assist with invoice processing
  • Provide support to Branch Manager, Project Managers, and Estimators as needed
  • Respond to incoming callers and in-person visitors with excellent customer service skills
  • Responsible for ordering office supplies, maintaining inventory, and scheduling equipment maintenance
  • Responsible for all branch catering and meeting/event needs
  • Attend after-hours branch-sponsored customer alignment events as requested
  • Assist with asset tagging and maintaining equipment logs

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of office administration, HR, payroll, or accounts payable experience
  • Bachelor's degree in administration or related discipline, or comparable work experience
  • Strong organization skills, high attention to detail, and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment, with strong oral and written communication capabilities
  • Excellent customer service skills and critical thinking/problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to seek out additional responsibilities and professional development opportunities

Preferred Requirements

  • Construction industry knowledge or experience
  • Experience with payroll and/or employee management, particularly union payroll
  • OSHA 10 certification in construction industry
  • Certified as a notary public
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Experience in business networking, customer alignment, and/or event planning
  • Certified in First Aid/CPR
