About the Role:

Cypress HCM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Product Development to lead our R&D operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the development, scale-up, and manufacturing of color/skincare cosmetic products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement product development strategies to drive business growth and innovation.
  • Lead a team of chemists and provide technical guidance and support to ensure the creation of high-quality products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product development and launch.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to source innovative materials and technologies.
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company guidelines.
  • Provide leadership and direction to direct reports to ensure project completion and team success.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in food technology, chemistry, or biology (or related field).
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a technical field in the color cosmetics industry, including product development and research experience.
  • 8+ years of leadership responsibility.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
