Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre-flight planning, loading, and performance calculations to ensure accurate and safe flight operations.
  • Verify airworthiness and report any concerns or discrepancies to the Pilot in Command.
  • Maintain expert working knowledge of aircraft systems and associated documents.
  • Provide clear, relevant, and timely information to the Pilot in Command, Air Traffic Control, and other crew members.
  • Monitor aircraft systems, performance, and crew performance to ensure optimal flight operations.
  • Adhere to all aircraft limitations and treat the equipment with care and respect.

Requirements
  • Associate Degree
  • Expert knowledge of human factors and risk assessment
  • Excellent customer service principles
  • Ability to work well with a variety of personalities and diffuse conflicts
  • Prioritize tasks and projects with attention to detail
  • Maintain professional relationships in adverse conditions
  • Awareness of associated risk factors and ability to make consistent, conservative, and timely decisions
  • Apply knowledge, experience, training, situational awareness, skills, and discipline to command the machine to support the mission
  • Determine cause and effect through expert knowledge of aircraft systems, malfunctions, and procedures
  • Able to use IT tools to enhance training, productivity, and situational awareness
  • Ability to reference and understand manuals, critically analyze relationship between OEM procedures and company SOPS, and manage discrepancy logs and MEL
