Position Overview:

The Finance Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing and directing the financial accounting functions of the organization. This position is responsible for guiding the finance team through the monthly closing procedures and ensuring accurate revenue recognition based on various critical factors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and authorize accounts payable processes, including oversight of the vendor database.
  • Evaluate monthly reconciliations and journal entries prepared by the finance team.
  • Supervise the accounting of fixed and intangible assets, including the review of relevant schedules.
  • Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy for financial reporting.
  • Prepare annual reconciliation documentation and support the audit process.
  • Lead and develop finance staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Assist with special reporting requests and additional duties as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in financial closing processes.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based financial tools.
Preferred Skills and Attributes:
  • Experience with financial management software and the ability to create custom reports.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing conditions.
  • Capability to build and maintain positive relationships within a diverse workforce.
Physical Requirements:
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds independently; assistance required for heavier items.
  • Visual and auditory acuity is necessary.
  • Job involves walking, talking, hearing, and using hands to operate office equipment.
  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods.
