Role Summary
The Good Samaritan Society is looking for a dedicated and flexible Certified Medication Aide to join our team in a travel capacity. This role offers the unique opportunity to provide care across various locations, enhancing your experience while ensuring quality support for our residents. You will be responsible for delivering age-appropriate care that addresses both the physical and emotional needs of residents as outlined in their care plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Administer medications as prescribed by a licensed nurse, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
- Document care provided, including medication administration and any changes in resident conditions.
- Support residents during meals, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness in residents' living areas and assist with laundry services.
- Encourage participation in wellness and recreational programs.
Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, with prior experience in long-term care being advantageous. A minimum age of 18 is preferred. Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Medication Aide course is required, along with any necessary certifications based on state regulations.
