About the Role

This is a challenging Technical Facilities Engineer position at Applied Materials. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership in planning, designing, configuring, constructing, commissioning, operating, and maintaining Gas & Chemical distribution systems.

The primary responsibilities of this role include overseeing operations, maintenance, and safety of Gas & Chemical distribution systems to ensure maximum uptime. This involves monitoring 3rd party maintenance providers' performance and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Additionally, the job requires coordinating with multiple groups, including planning, construction, safety, G&C service provider, building owners, management, etc., to meet project or service request requirements and minimize system downtime and business interruptions. Responding to business interruptions or internal customer escalations is also a crucial aspect of this role.

Other key responsibilities include performing problem solving, troubleshooting, root cause analysis using 8D methodology; ensuring all Gas and Chemical distribution systems operate to design specifications; evaluating system capacities and capabilities and making improvement recommendations; forecasting budget spending and reviewing supplier invoices; identifying and conceptually scoping safety, compliance, capacity, redundancy, and cost savings projects; obtaining funding and managing projects per scope, schedule & budget; reviewing operation, maintenance, trouble shooting, project commissioning & acceptance, and other related documents for facilities systems; recommending and implementing improvements.

Key Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor's Degree and 4-7 years of experience in a similar field. A strong background in engineering, particularly in gas and chemical systems, is essential for success in this role. Additionally, proficiency in analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and leadership abilities, are necessary for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Compensation Package

Applied Materials offers an attractive compensation package, including a salary range of $115,000.00 - $158,500.00. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable. With consideration of internal equity and multiple factors, including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, the actual salary offered to a selected candidate will vary.
