Job Description

As a Senior Process / Chemical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex process systems for various industries. This includes developing detailed engineering designs, specifications, and drawings using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, P&IDs, and pipe-FLO. You will also work closely with clients, engineering teams, and other professionals to ensure that projects meet and exceed industry standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical engineering, with experience in designing and implementing process systems. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively lead and direct associate engineers and designers. Additionally, they will have a strong understanding of industry codes and regulations, with the ability to apply them to their work.

A typical day might include:
  1. Responsible for leading/producing technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models that meet our specifications and client needs.
  2. Responsible for creating, influencing, and finalizing designs involving high purity gas and liquid delivery systems, sanitary and hygienic piping and equipment, HVAC, purified water and steam systems, scrubber systems, and possibly other process chemical systems.
  3. Create detailed engineering designs, specifications, and drawings using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, P&IDs, and pipe-FLO.
  4. Will work with Sr. Engineers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders on specific assigned objectives, complex features, and aid in deriving possible solutions to unusual problems.
  5. Applies standard design techniques and procedures and exercising judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications to design concepts. Ensure quality control by complying with company and team design and CAD standards.
  6. Coordinate needs, designs, and develop an understanding with other design disciplines (Electrical, Structural, Mechanical, Architectural, etc.) for design package needs.
  7. Effectively lead, direct, and mentor associate engineers and designers, with an emphasis on employee growth, project success, and overall performance.
  8. Perform field verifications/site walks to identify, verify, resolve, and incorporate solutions into design packages. May troubleshoot design problems in the field during construction.
