Job Description
The Service Cashier/Administrator plays a critical role in processing payments for work completed or purchase of parts requests, ensuring proper reconciliation of repair orders and parts invoices, and collecting money from Parts and Service transactions in the dealership.
This position involves inspecting every service repair order and/or parts invoice for proper completion and accuracy, reconciling repair orders by transferring relevant information from hard copies to soft copies, calculating materials charges and taxes applicable for each order, and providing customers with proper change and receipts.
In addition to these key responsibilities, the Service Cashier/Administrator will complete accounting sections of repair orders as directed, update customer service history files according to department procedures, deliver repair orders and parts invoices to the accounting department, control keys associated with completed repair orders, and file repair orders as directed by the service department manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with 6-12 months of previous work experience preferred. Demonstrated customer service skills, communication and interpersonal skills, and previous industry experience are highly valued.
Candidates should also be able to read, write, add, subtract, divide, and comprehend written instructions and information.
