About the Role
The Perioperative Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the operating room. This includes planning, coordinating, and delivering nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of perioperative nursing principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care in the operating room
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Monitor and report patient vital signs and other relevant information
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in an acute operating room environment
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
- Excellent understanding of AORN Standards
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques
