We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Law Enforcement Officer to join our team at the Tonto Apache Tribe. As a Police Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining public safety and enforcing laws within our community.
Key Responsibilities- Patrol and Respond to Calls: Patrol assigned areas to detect and prevent criminal activity, and respond to calls for service in a timely and professional manner.
- Enforce Laws and Regulations: Enforce Tribal, State, and Federal laws and regulations, and issue citations and warnings as necessary.
- Investigate Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and crimes, and prepare reports and evidence for presentation in court.
- Provide Community Services: Provide community services, including education and outreach programs, to promote public safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with Other Agencies: Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations to share information and resources, and to address common issues and concerns.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience: Prior law enforcement experience preferred; AZ POST certification a plus.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; proficiency in firearms and other law enforcement equipment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies; ability to work in all weather conditions.
Work is performed in a variety of settings, including patrol vehicles, offices, and outdoor environments. May be required to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
