About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspection projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, materials testing, and special inspections, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspections projects from initiation to completion.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and ensure their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of professionals and field-based staff in client development and project management.
  • Develop and maintain a local client base and professional network capable of generating sufficient revenue to meet financial objectives.
  • Support local business development and marketing efforts to expand market presence and opportunities.
  • Generate and review field and laboratory cost estimates and proposals in alignment with project plans and client requests.

About You:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
  • You have 4+ years' experience with Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspection projects, with at least 1 year of project management experience.
  • You have a Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina, or the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of the hire date.
  • You have a strong working knowledge of applicable ACI, ASTM, AASHTO, and DOT standards and procedures, and IBC Special Inspections.
  • You have effective verbal and written communication skills, including attention to detail.
