Emergency Department Charge Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Charge Nurse to join our team. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for managing the nursing staff in the Emergency Department, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
You will ensure that patient care is delivered efficiently and effectively, while adhering to best practices and regulatory standards. This includes monitoring patient flow and staffing levels to optimize the use of resources and minimize wait times.
As a key member of our team, you will coordinate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
You will also develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the quality of care provided in the Emergency Department. Additionally, you will monitor and evaluate performance metrics, such as patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and staff productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the nursing staff in the Emergency Department, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Ensure that patient care is delivered efficiently and effectively, while adhering to best practices and regulatory standards.
- Monitor patient flow and staffing levels to optimize the use of resources and minimize wait times.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care to patients.

- Monitor and evaluate performance metrics, such as patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and staff productivity.
Requirements:
- Must have a current license to practice medicine in any state, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States of the District of Columbia.
- License shall be full and unrestricted.
- Shall have a nationally accredited associate's degree or baccalaureate degree in nursing.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years Emergency Nursing experience.
- Previous management or supervisory experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and quality improvement methodologies.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Must have an active ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS and TNCC or CEN certificate.
