Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Director to join our team at SR COMPANIES LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall upkeep and maintenance of our facilities, as well as providing exceptional customer service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the planning and coordination of all maintenance activities to ensure efficient operation of the facilities.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, safety, and attractiveness of the hotel and surrounding grounds.
  • Respond to emergency repairs and take the lead in resolving equipment breakdowns.
  • Develop and implement aesthetic improvement plans to enhance the appearance of the facilities.
  • Manage expenditures and ensure compliance with departmental financial budgets.
  • Provide hands-on repairs and maintenance as needed to ensure a proactive approach to all maintenance activities.
  • Resolve issues with contractors and negotiate the best possible outcomes for all parties involved.
  • Assist new housekeeping staff with moving furniture and guests as needed.
  • Coordinate contracted services and monitor maintenance functions to ensure adherence to schedule and quality.
  • Perform daily walk-around supervision to ensure all work is completed correctly and timely.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests for assistance.
  • Interact with guests, vendors, and visitors in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Maintain a safe and secure working environment free of hazards and objects that could cause harm.
  • Practice good body mechanics and safe working habits at all times.
  • Report safety hazards immediately to supervisor.
  • Provide assistance to employees as needed.
  • Act as essential personnel during emergencies and inclement weather.
  • Demonstrate a positive and respectful attitude towards work issues, policies, and procedures.
  • Comply with attendance and call-off policies.
  • Attend and participate in trainings, in-service, and mandatory meetings.
  • Wear clean and appropriate dress according to established dress code policies.
  • Take on special projects or assignments outside of regular duties.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervise staff in the Environmental Services Department, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, inventory software, and payroll systems.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
