Job Summary

SR COMPANIES LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Director to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the overall upkeep and maintenance of our facilities, ensuring a clean, safe, and attractive environment for our guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Management: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all maintenance activities to ensure the hotel is always in a clean, orderly, safe, and attractive condition.
  • Emergency Response: React and take the lead in emergency repairs of any kind, seeking methods for completing repairs and ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations.
  • Aesthetic Improvement: Develop and implement aesthetic improvement plans both inside and outside the building, including painting, staining woodwork, drywall repairs, and minor building repairs.
  • Financial Management: Monitor expenditures monthly to ensure compliance with department financial monthly budget.
  • Contractor Management: Resolve issues/problems with contractors through investigation and negotiations to ensure the best possible outcome for all parties involved.
  • Employee Support: Assist new housekeeping staff with moving furniture in rooms, as well as moving guests when necessary.
  • Quality Control: Coordinate contracted services and monitor all maintenance functions to ensure adherence to schedule and quality.
  • Guest Services: Respond promptly and courteously to guests' requests for assistance, showing empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect.
  • Safety and Security: Maintain a safe and secure working environment, free of objects/situations that could cause harm and/or falls to guests, vendors, visitors, and employees.
  • Training and Development: Participate in trainings, in-service, and mandatory meetings to stay up-to-date on company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
