Position SummaryOrthoNY is seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to join our team. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in executing orthopedic magnetic resonance imaging procedures, utilizing advanced computer processing techniques to generate high-quality images for analysis by licensed healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Verify and document the patient's clinical history in relation to the imaging procedure, ensuring all information is accessible for the healthcare provider's review.
- Prepare patients for imaging by delivering clear instructions and educational support.
- Operate the magnetic resonance imaging system and associated equipment with precision.
- Uphold medical ethics and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
- Identify and address conditions necessary for the successful completion of imaging procedures.
- Deliver appropriate care and support to patients throughout the imaging process.
- Fulfill any additional responsibilities as required.
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Possession of a valid NYSDOH license is mandatory.
- Current ARRT certification in the relevant imaging modality.
- Additional coursework in sectional human anatomy is advantageous.
- Experience in the field of medical imaging is preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
- This position is office-based within a secure environment.
- Reliable transportation is a necessity.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
