Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Imaging Specialist to join our team at Ellis Medicine. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners and assisting in the diagnosis of disease and injury.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate MRI scanners to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Assist patients with claustrophobic and anxious conditions, providing emotional support and explaining procedures.
  • Screen patients, position them, and use appropriate coils for optimal image quality.
  • Monitor patients during scans and pre/post-test procedures, recognizing and responding to life-threatening situations.
  • Assist in the education of other medical professionals and new staff members.
  • Track, scan, and verify studies, completing all required paperwork.
  • Monitor PACS for problem studies and call reports.
  • Document patient information and requisition details.
  • Rotate shifts, work weekends, and adjust schedules as needed for the greater good of the department.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved Radiology Technology school with current ARRT registry and New York State license.
  • One year of ARRT registry in MRI preferred.

Compensation:

Salary range: $33.71-$50.56 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education.
