Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Imaging Specialist to join our team at Ellis Medicine. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners and assisting in the diagnosis of disease and injury.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate MRI scanners to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Assist patients with claustrophobic and anxious conditions, providing emotional support and explaining procedures.
- Screen patients, position them, and use appropriate coils for optimal image quality.
- Monitor patients during scans and pre/post-test procedures, recognizing and responding to life-threatening situations.
- Assist in the education of other medical professionals and new staff members.
- Track, scan, and verify studies, completing all required paperwork.
- Monitor PACS for problem studies and call reports.
- Document patient information and requisition details.
- Rotate shifts, work weekends, and adjust schedules as needed for the greater good of the department.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved Radiology Technology school with current ARRT registry and New York State license.
- One year of ARRT registry in MRI preferred.
Compensation:
Salary range: $33.71-$50.56 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education.
