Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Ice Rink Attendant to join our team at the Summit Park Outdoor Ice Rink in Blue Ash, OH. As a key member of our recreation team, you will provide exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide warm and welcoming customer service to guests at the Summit Park Ice Skating Rink.
  • Greet and assist visitors with skate rentals, questions, and other needs.
  • Accurately handle cash and card transactions for skate rental fees, maintaining efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Monitor the ice rink to ensure the safety of all skaters, enforcing rink rules and regulations while promoting a welcoming and enjoyable experience.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the ice rink, skate rental area, and surrounding spaces, ensuring a well-kept environment for all visitors.
  • Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as removing snow and ice shavings and keeping the rink area organized and safe.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages community participation and caters to skaters of all levels.
  • Respond quickly and professionally to emergencies or incidents, following set safety protocols.
  • Support events and programs at the ice rink by helping with setup, operations, and ensuring a smooth experience for all participants.
  • Collaborate with fellow staff members, contributing to a team environment.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as per the facility's schedule, ensuring that the ice rink is ready for visitors each day.
Requirements
  • No prior experience required-perfect for someone looking to work within the Blue Ash Recreation Department. Training provided.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service.
  • Availability for mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for being part of a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Must pass a comprehensive background check.
