Position Summary:
Project Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
As a Project Coordinator, you will plan, direct, and oversee project activities to ensure successful completion within established timelines and budget constraints. Your duties will include:
  • Providing leadership for projects under the guidance of a Project Engineering Superintendent.
  • Being accountable for the outcomes of assigned projects.
  • Developing the Project Procedure Manual with oversight from a Project Engineering Superintendent.
  • Reporting project status to the Project Engineering Superintendent.
  • Collaborating with Project Controls to manage project schedules and budgets.
  • Assessing staffing needs and directing design team members.
  • Documenting contract-related issues and ensuring compliance with contract terms.
  • Creating a cost-effective project environment.
  • Proactively addressing challenges to deliver value.
  • Evaluating risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Maintaining clear communication regarding all project aspects.
  • Defining project scope effectively and managing changes.
  • Ensuring a safe working environment in accordance with client safety guidelines.
  • Conducting thorough requirements reviews.
  • Ensuring robust Project Controls are in place.
  • Establishing project organization with guidance from supervisors.
  • Developing and adhering to the Project Execution Plan throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coaching and mentoring project team members.
  • Engaging with clients to ensure satisfaction with project outcomes.
  • Complying with all operational guidelines and standards, including ISO – 9001.

Qualifications:
We prefer candidates with experience as a direct hire or client representative in the petrochemical sector. Ideal candidates will have:
  • A minimum of five years in the engineering field, with at least five years in project management.
  • A Professional Engineering license is preferred but not mandatory. Experience in the petrochemical industry is highly desirable.
  • The ability to plan, organize, and manage small projects with budgets up to $10 million.
  • Knowledge of engineering management across various disciplines, focusing on discipline interfaces and information flow.
  • Familiarity with material management processes, construction, and site-related issues.
  • Strong leadership qualities, motivational skills, and a customer-oriented approach.
  • A commitment to establishing respectful relationships with key personnel.
  • A track record of meeting commitments and improving work processes.

Education Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
